Words have power to heal or hurt. I'm learning the act of listening is also powerful. I must try it more often.

Stephen Covey noted that we listen with the intent to reply rather than listen with the intent to understand.Listening is one of the greatest gifts we can give people - to listen to understand. cp

What all the above said. It's often not what you say, but how well you hear that is the key to good communication.
