I noticed I felt physically ill when I heard that Oscar Pistorius has been charged with murder. Where have all the heros gone?

There are very few people we can look up to anymore, which is why it is even more important for us to be able to look at our own actions and see respect, kindness, integrity, responsibility and conscious awareness there.

He may not be guilty of deliberate murder of a girlfriend, but an accidental murder of a home intruder.
Take that NRA! Sometimes with guns we act too fast wanting (understandably) to be the one who shoots first. Let's hope that murder of Oscar's girlfriend was unintentional - tragically, the end result is the same. ld

A Modern Day Version of Romeo & Juliet

... or in our case, The Story of Jack and Mary. Chapter 1 "... stony limits cannot hold love out." William Shakespeare Romeo & Juliet, Act II, Scene 2 Usually chapter one means starting at the beginning. Instead I'm going to start in the middle. Depending on what date we pick to celebrate our anniversary Jack, aka Sweetie, and I have been a couple for just over 6 years. A lot has happened in that time. I'm not in the mood to go back to the start of what brought us together. Suffice it to say, one day, while taking a break from Cinderella duties, I checked my Match.com account for what was to be the last time.
